There is a lot of personal information online. This information could be stored on our social media sites, biometrics, bank, etc. Information Security is the procedure that prevents unauthorized access, use, exposure, alteration, inspection, recording, or deletion of information. Information security programs are built on three principles confidentiality, integrity, and availability or CIA. Additionally, nonrepudiation is the other principles are important to information technology. Information security includes the study of many areas such as cryptography, cyber forensics, social media, mobile computing, etc.
